Chatham, New Brunswick, 1847.〕 He studied at the University of New Brunswick, then at the University of Göttingen and University of Leipzig,〔[http://syrcom.cua.edu/Hugoye/Vol10No2/HV10N2Harrak.html Beth Mardutho: Hugoye]〕 then Princeton Theological Seminary under William Henry Green.
